Howdy!

Sorry for the lack of updates, it’s been BUSY lately! I’ll just run through a couple updates, and highlights over the past several weeks.

First, we ripped through our third Midwest Friends Fest! We started at the pre-fest featuring Toilet Rats, Lo, the Loyal Conscripts, Nice Device, Red Bud Trio, Nervous Verbs, Alex K & the BOD, & Stokleys. All were riipppeeersss. Kelley & I were really stoked to see Nice Device for the first time. They were absolutely killer and Jake is a great homie. Really excited to see what this band does. Shout out to Tim from Sweet Cheetah for contributing towards our Friday raffle.

On to MWFF Day 1! The weather was fantastic the vibes were amazing and we feel like everything ran v smoothly all weekend. Personal highlights were def experiencing KENMUJO (if you ever get a chance to see him live. DO IT) and having local big dogs, Lung closing out on our Start Today Stage. That was truly an honor.

Day 2 was just as great/longer. Probably my favorite band on our stage that I had not seen before was Neckscars. They were my EXACT STYLE. YES, THEY WERE. And they were also v cool guys. We saw a ton of friends, made some new connections and we officially added our new volunteers, Caroline and Orlando! Super looking forward to next year already!

We ended the month with 172 doses of Naloxone given out.

June was an insane month for us and out biggest month to date. We were present at 17 shows, and handed out 365 doses of Naloxone! We added Olivia as a new volunteer. Highlights are seeing Loud Petunias & Middling at the Pre Fest for Say It Louder. This was our second year of being a sponsor for Say It Louder Fest. We saw so many great bands, and made some awesome connections. If you’re not aware of the Kentucky org, Period Y’all. Do yourself a favor and check them out. They fuckin rule. An unfortunate event that happened in the month of June was that Madison Theater/Live unexpectedly and suddenly was forced to close. Shout out to Frank. We hope him and his family are well during this time. This happened the day before the Leftover Crack show we were to be tabling at. Luckily, through community and flexibility the show was moved to Swine City Brewing in Fairfield. This is our third time tabling for Leftover Crack and they are always so kind and are open to our services. At the end of the day-we are a judgement-free zone and I’ll leave it at that.
